P0001 OBD-II Trouble Code: Fuel Volume Regulator Control Circuit/Open - Clean Fuel Pump connection

The car is a 2009 Toyota Corolla and it has Check Engine Light - P0001 code.
I have cleaned it and so far the code did not come back.
If it comes back, I will make another video on replacing the whole unit of Fuel Pump or just the Fuel Volume Regulator. (notes: Fuel Volume Regulator is inside the fuel pump).

The P0001 code is associated with the electrical circuit which connects to your fuel pressure regulator. The regulator is built inside the Fuel Pump. Since my car is running fine and don't have any fuel related issue. I believed it is the wire/connection issue. I am going to clean it first and see whether it fixed it, if not, I either replace the regulator or the whole fuel pump.
1. Disconnect negative battery
2. Remove Rear seat.
3. Pry off metal cover, (no screw, it was hold down by black glue).
4. Disconnect Fuel Pump wire connector
5. Clean connector with electronic cleaner, dry with duster and apply Dielectric grease.
6. Reconnect connector with hard push with a sound "click".
7. Put back metal cover with arrow pointing to the front.
8. Put back the rear seat.
9. reconnect Negative cable to Battery.
10. Start the car and Check Engine Light should be gone but if it comes back with C.E.L. with P0001 again, then it may be the Regulator.

Notes: Try to refill the gas as long as it is 1/4 gas tank because less gas will put more stress and effort on the pump and regulator. In additional to that, Never take the chance on near empty tank because when you ran out of gas, all the dirt and rust deposit will accumulate on the last portion (like a bathtub, all dirt settled on drain when tub is near empty) and this will clogged up the fuel filter. On the other hand, never try to "top off" and add more gas when the tank is full and gas pump stop. This 'Top off' will create 'overflow' and the 'overflow' gas will damage other gas related part in your car.
