“It’s just a burning memory” is a part of Stage 1 of the album “Everywhere at the End of Time” by an English electronic musician Leyland Kirby (a.k.a. the Caretaker).
Stage 1 is described as the initial signs of memory deterioration, being the closest album in the series to "a beautiful daydream." Like An Empty Bliss, it features the opening seconds of records from the 1930s looped for long lengths. Its samples present pitch changes, reverberation, overtones, and vinyl crackle. The album features a range of emotions, mostly by the notions its song titles invoke, with names such as "Into each other's eyes" sometimes interpreted as a romantic memory of the patient. Despite being an upbeat release by the Caretaker, some of its joyful big band compositions are more distorted than normal.
