Method of Cooking Zero Oil / Oil Free Fish Curry :

Preparation time - 6-7 minutes
Cooking time -20 minutes
Serves - 4

Ingredients:
Rohu / Katla / Basa Fish -5-6 pieces (400 gms)
Salt - According to taste
Turmeric Powder -2 tspn
Red Chilli Powder - According to taste
Cumin Seed Powder - 1 tspn
Green Cardamom and Cinnamon Powder -1 tspn
Sugar -1/2 tspn (optional)
Bay leaf - 2
Crushed Black Cardamom (1) ,Green Cardamom (2-3) & Cinnamon Stick (1 inch)
Onion Paste -I large Onion
Ginger - Garlic Powder -2-3 tspn
Cashew Nut Paste - 10-12 nuts
Curd -2 tblspn
Water -1 Glass

Method Of Cooking :
Step -1
Marinate the fish with a little salt, turmeric powder,red chilli powder,ginger - garlic paste/powder and 2 tspn of curd. Keep it aside.
Step -2
Heat a non stick pan/ tawa and sprinkle some water on it. Add the marinated fish. Roast the fish from both the sides.
Step -3
Heat a non - stick pan / kadhai. Add 4-5 tblspn of water. Add the crushed spices. Saute for a few seconds and then add the onion paste. Add ginger garlic paste ,salt, turmeric powder and red chilli powder. Mix and cook for sometime.
Step -4
Add the cumin seed powder. Add sugar (optional). Stir continuously and cook the spices well. Add the remaining curd and keep stirring until the masala dries.
Step -5
Add a glass of water. When the water comes to boil add the roasted fish. Cover and cook for 10 minutes. Add Cashew nut paste and the cardamom and cinnamon powder. Simmer for a minute and serve it hot with rice chapati or paratha.
