In this video I'll teach you in no time how to stabilize Sony footage with Gyro data in Catalyst browse.

We will be using footage from the Sony FX6 which it doesn't have any sort of image stabilization ( IBIS ). This steps apply to any camera from Sony with gyro data recording capabilities such as the Sony ZV1, A7C, FX6 and Sony FX9.

Stabilizing footage in Catalyst browse or Catalyze Prepare is easy but making a few mistakes could ruin your entire shoot.

So because I have made those mistakes already I have put together this in depth demo to help you stabilize your footage in Catalyst Browse in no time.

Catalyst Browse is a very effective tool and a breakthrough in video image stabilization. The difference of Catalyst browse lies in the capability of recording the sensor motion in space while the camera is recording video. This Gyro data gets recorded with the clip and Catalyst browse uses such information to accurately correct shaky motion resulting into a pleasant stable footage.

Unlike other methods of image stabilizations such as warp stabilizer in premiere which requires analyzing an image pixel by pixel while killing your computer , Catalyst browse or Catalyze Prepare goes straight to the pint shifting the image right where it's supposed to be.

The Sony FX6 does not feature any type of image stabilization which it makes the use of Catalyze browse a blessing.

You are going to realize that wether you shoot with the Sony A7Siii, FX9 or any of the Sony Cameras, Catalyze browse can save the day.
