Skyrim ~ How To Get Two Of The Sigil Stones (Non-Quest Items)

In this video guide see how to acquire the two separate sigil stones that are no longer quest items. This requires a wooden plate, conjuration level 90 and completion of the "Conjuration Ritual Spell" radiant quest given by Phinis Gestor. First head into the hall of the elements and approach the back of the second pillar on the left. Drop a wooden plate and lift it to the pillar preferably bottom side facing out and get it flat against the pillar. Now move into the plate and when popping through the graphics move forward and left at the same time when going through pretty good start attempting to crouch eventually crouching into the pillar and within reach of a hidden chest. This is a placeholder chest for quest items. (The items change or disappear according to progress in the college quests.) One of the items will be the Sigil Stone (it's purpose is to be placed on the pedestal of the atronach forge in order to do the more advanced Daedric recipes.) In fact head down to the midden and place this sigil stone on the forge and leave it. It'll safely remain there. Now the ritual spell quest for conjuration must be completed. Get the Conjuration skill level to 90. (This can be easily done with all the augments-Mage stone, resting bonus,enchantments to reduce usage cost, training etc and using two alternating hands to cast soul trap on any corpse over and over.) Once at 90 head to the college to ask Phinis about learning more. This will begin the ritual spell quest. He provides a new conjuration spell just for the occasion, "Summon Unbound Dremora." Head to the roof of the Hall of Attainment and cast this new spell in the center of the prepared ritual site. (This may less troublesome if any follower dismissed so they aren't attacking him and ruin the dialogue option.) An umbound dremora materializes. Speak with him and then battle him. Summon him back and repeat speaking with him and then battling him. The third time he will summit and disappear. Summon him again and he returns with the sigil stone. (After this he'll just stand there without any interaction options indefinitely.) Return to Phinis with the stone and he'll examine it. Talk to him once more and he returns this stone along with the Flame Thrall spell tome. (The option to buy Dead thrall, frost thrall and storm thrall are also available. These are all master level conjurations that permanently bind to your will.) With this second stone return to the atronach forge and the one from the chest is still sitting pretty. Grab it and you'll now have two sigil stones that can be stored and dropped. One can be used as decor as a nice collectible.
