Made from an injected thermoplastic with a special polymer blend, the helmet shell is lightweight yet incredibly strong. The inner lining is made from different densities for optimal protection, ensuring maximum safety without breaking the bank.

Alpinestars has assembled a dedicated research and development team specifically for motocross helmets, and the SM5 is no exception. This helmet is not produced by any other helmet manufacturer - Alpinestars has its own factory to ensure the highest quality standards.

The SM5 boasts several high-quality safety features, including a lightweight shell that reduces the overall weight of the helmet. The multi-density inner lining is designed to absorb impacts and distribute energy efficiently, preventing brain damage and trauma. The innovative helmet visor design is also worth noting. It is designed to detach easily in the event of a severe fall, thanks to Alpinestars' patented system. This prevents the visor from digging into the ground and causing rotation, which could be potentially dangerous. Please note that the visor and the system are both replaceable.
