Birth of Aphrodite (Venus) at Aphrodite rock
"Foam-arisen" Aphrodite was born of the sea foam near Paphos, Cyprus after Cronus cut off Ouranos' genitals and threw them behind him into the sea, while the Erinyes emerged from the drops of blood. Hesiod's Theogony described that the genitals "were carried over the sea a long time, and white foam arose from the immortal flesh; with it a girl grew" to become Aphrodite.

"Schaum-entstandene" Aphrodite war vom Seeschaum in der Nähe von Paphos, Zypern geboren, nachdem Cronus die Geschlechtsorgane von Ouranos abschnitt und sie hinter ihm ins Meer warf, während der Erinyes aus den Fällen des Bluts erschien. Der Theogony von Hesiod beschrieb, dass die Geschlechtsorgane "in Übersee eine lange Zeit getragen wurden, und weißer Schaum aus dem unsterblichen Fleisch entstand; damit wuchs ein Mädchen", um Aphrodite zu werden.
