The evening wind is swaying
The tops of rowan trees
Sounds come from the city
A waltzing through the breeze
Singing of the rowan
The old familiar tale
Of overhanging branches
On Ural mountain trails

Like a crown of laurels
Upon a youthful bride
So the flowery veil
Of rowan branches shine

Far away I wandered
I left my rowan grove
Far the trail took me
Abandoning one I love
Crimson berries in autumn
Hang like the tears in my eyes
I weep just like the rowan
From sorrow now I cry.
