⚪️🟡🟢🔵🟣🔴⚫️☄️🎶 So I made a track using mostly Final Fantasy 7 OG battle sound effects for my personal enjoyment, and this is how it came out. This is my first attempt at focusing on the sound effects of a nostalgic game to create the heartbeat of it all. I will be experimenting a lot more with the idea. Recently I've been thinking that the sound effects of Final Fantasies often go overlooked, or under appreciated, as I hardly hear anyone talk about the cool sound effects. I enjoy the music of the games of course, but I've always been intrigued by the sound effects and chilling atmosphere involved. For those that don't know, FF7 can be very dark, with the crew trying to save the world from the ultimate destroyer, aka the One Winged Angel aka Sephiroth. I thought I'd do something a bit different and create a track using some of my favorite sounds from the game which are mostly battle sounds, spells and a few others. The only things I composed are the minimalist Choir, tubular bells, a backing sustained bass to give it more presence and some percussion in the 1st and 3rd section. The arrangements were done by me and I didn't want to go too crazy on the melody, as this is supposed to shine a bigger light on the atmosphere and sound effects of the game and less of my music composing. This is not a nice vibed track and it could be quite off-putting for those not familiar with the game, but my next Final Fantasy sound effects tribute will probably be more ethereal. #finalfantasy7 #retro #soundeffects #tribute
