Tortoreto Alto is a old town and comune of the province of Teramo. Tortoreto Alto is on a hill not far from the Adriatic Sea. The new part, usually referred to as Tortoreto Lido.

Scanno is one of the most beautiful towns in Italy, situated in the Sagittario Valley and encircled by the Majella mountains. Scanno is among one of the many villages in Abruzzo that has won the title of “Borghi Piu Belli d’Italia” awards (The Most Beautiful Villages in Italy). Scanno is also known for how the women of Scanno dress – which is a traditional costume that dates back to the 17th-18th Century. Scanno is also close by to the National Park of Abruzzo and Scanno lake.
