This is my solo piano arrangement of Stevie Wonder's Pastime Paradise which features on the album Songs in the Key of Life. The intro to this song was also famously sampled by hip hop artist Coolio in Gangsta's Paradise.

Fun fact : The string section on this track was made entirely from synthesisers! Stevie Wonder often played most of the parts of his tracks himself.

I was inspired to do an arrangement of this tune after seeing Chick Corea perform it as part of a solo piano set. His fusion of latin, classical and jazz in his solo performances are always interesting to hear. As such I have used some of his ideas in this arrangement but also put my own stamp on it.

Arranged and performed by Olly Stevenson on a Roland FP90 piano.
