New Forms of Wood: Johannes Rebhahn, Head of International Timber Projects, WIEHAG GmbH.

Advanced wood technology offers wide possibilities to architectural expression. That emphasizes the high demand for knowledge, skills and creativity. At its best, wood is a solution for a challenging building tasks and intriguing geometries, which raises a question whether there is natural form for wooden structure. Johannes Rebhahn was born into a traditional sawmill family in Austria which explains the sawdust in his veins! He studied structural engineering at Graz University in Austria and Lisbon, Portugal before joining leading glulam provider’s Wiehag GmbH in 2002 where he works as Head of International Projects.
