Conditional Sentences have two clauses: the conditional clause and the results clause. The conditional clause is a subordinate adverbial clause usually known as the “IF” clause. The IF clause expresses the condition. The results clause is the main clause describing what will happen if the “condition” is met.

There are 4 main conditional sentences as well as mixed conditional sentences. In today’s lesson, we will learn about the main 4 conditionals: the zero conditional, the first conditional, the second conditional, and the third conditional. We will learn about mixed conditionals in another lesson.
