How to Use Document Templates in Microsoft Word

Описание

Using Template in Microsoft Word can save your time. You can use the premade styles and formatting for a document. Let’s see, how we can use the Word Template.
1. Double click on the Microsoft Word icon to open it.
2. At the top left, click on the File tab, and from the menu list click New.
3. You can select a template from the Available Templates section or scroll down the template categories in the Office.com templates section. Before searching and selecting any template be sure that you are online.
1. For example, let's click on this Flyers icon, and you will find many templates for Flyer here.
4. Click on a template of your choice, and then click on the download on the right side. This will start downloading the template and will open the selected template in a new Word document. Now, you can easily edit the text in the design.
5. Click on the File tab, and then click Save As.
6. Choose the location on your desktop to save the file, give a File name, and then click on the Save button at the bottom.
7. Click on the OK button, if an alert box appears.
8. You can also use the template in the existing Word document. But, this will only apply to the recently opened Word document.
9. Open your Word document.
10. Click on the File tab at the top-left.
11. Click on the Options from the list.
12. In the Word Options window, click on the Add-Ins on the left side.
13. On the right side, click on the Manage drop-down box.
14. Select Templates from the list, and click on the Go… button.
15. Click on the Attach button, and select a template from the list.
16. Click on the Open button at the bottom.
17. Check the box, Automatically update document styles, and then click on the OK button.
