So you can make scales out of these, or COMPOSE with them, which I think is the real intention of the book.
In this example I use nothing but C F F# and B in various octaves, combinations and textures. Started out with mallet type sound, then long bass gets added, then lead synth, then jungly type drums. there is a breakdown as well. The breakdown is pretty sparse staccato instruments with a drum set with a very open hi-hat and slow sustained synth bass with a synth lead on top. That's about it. By the way, if you are thinking that THIS is the way to learn composition I'd advise learning "common practice" classical and jazz theory first as it's not the most intuitive composition method.
