Asus laptop Q551L - battery replacement (part # B31N1402)

Had a 3 year old Asus laptop model Q551L that the battery was poorly performing and would not last for longer than 30-45 mins when fully charged. I purchased a new battery from Amazon for 44 bucks and this video shows how to open up the laptop, remove the old battery and install the new one. Note - the instructions provided by the vendor Swealeer state that on on the first use of the new battery you must discharge it to 5% BEFORE you plug the laptop in to charge the battery. Once it’s discharged to 5% you power off the laptop and allow it to charge for 12 hours while off. Then repeat this cycling process 3-4 times to ensure longer life of the battery. The first use of the battery provided 5 hours of charge which was incredible since eleven when new the original battery was never good for more than 2 hours. Hope this helps some of you who have the Q551L and are experiencing battery problems.
