Comparison of the Boss BD-2 vs the BD-2 model in the Boss ME-50. Clean tone first (Marshal model in Guitar Rig 5), then with the pedals on.
Blue LED is Blues Driver, red LED is ME-50.
Switch is a custom build by Bright Orange Pedals.
I think they sound pretty close. Everything pretty much at 12 o'clock on the Blues Driver. The tone on the ME-50 is very responsive, and it needs a little further around the dial to get the same level of gain as the pedal.
