Converting the value of one operand of one type to the value of another type is known as type conversion or type casting. mostly type conversion can be achieved either implicitly or explicitly. The implicit type conversion is also known as Widening /automatic type conversion this is carried out by compiler automatically. The Explicitly type conversion or narrowing type conversion is done by programmer manually using type cast operator or using java in-build method.
