Here is my full review of the new Bridgestone E50 Extreme gummy tire. Keep in mind that you can either have a really long lasting tire, or a really well performing tire. This is going to be a well performing tire, but not a really long lasting one.

Pros:
Gummy tire that gets great grip on logs, rocks, roots, wet and dry. Can make you feel like a hero.

It gets great sidehill traction. Those side knobs really cut into the terrain and give the the go you need.

I felt like I had good braking with this tire. Didn’t seem to wash out for me. Tracked straight.

Love that we are getting more variety in the gummy/enduro market. More choices are great for consumers.

Lasts a long time for a gummy tire. I got 20 hours out of one of them and there was still a lot of life left in it. 8 hours on my next one so far. Some gummy tires only do about 10-12 hours.

Cons:
FIM short knobs on this. Means the tire is about 1/3 worn out when you get the tire comported to a IRC VE33s. They don’t dig as well in the deep mud, snow, and sand.

Soft crown means plugs don’t hold as well if you are using TUbliss. I was able to get plugs to hold, but I’m not 100% confident they would last 15 hours without coming out.

Shorter supply right now on these tires.

$100 put it out of the range of many consumers, that just want a cheap tire that lasts a long time. This is not that tire.
