Brian Leahy plays Alkan: "Allegro Barbaro", Etude Op.35, No.5

The infamous "Allegro Barbaro", Alkan's monumentally exhausting etude from his Op. 35 cycle. Unbelievably this Bartokian brutal study was written in 1847! Couple things:
A. i did not take the repeat in the 3rd section and.....
B. Upon the 3rd statement of the main theme i played the theme in its original form. I never liked the chord skips as well as just hearing the truly barbarous theme in all its glory. ENJOY!
