«„Элегия“ Рахманинова — музыка тихой силы. Она не требует внимания, а постепенно его притягивает. В ее звучании есть внутренняя сосредоточенность и меланхолия.

Мне захотелось исполнить эту глубоко эмоциональную, вокальную по характеру фортепианную пьесу на тромбоне. Я представил себе диалог тромбона и фортепиано — спокойный, честный, без лишних слов.

Так родилась эта запись: попытка взглянуть на „Элегию“ с новой стороны и услышать через иной звук, иное дыхание, иное ощущение времени».

'Rachmaninoff’s Élégie is music of quiet strength. It doesn’t demand attention — it gently draws you in. Within its sound, there is introspection, melancholy, and a depth that turns inward rather than outward.

Listening to this piece, I felt the urge to express it through the trombone. Its vocal character and emotional intensity naturally led me to imagine a dialogue between trombone and piano — calm, honest, and unforced.

This recording grew out of that idea: an attempt to approach the Élégie from a new sonic perspective and to hear it differently — through another sound, another breath, another sense of time'.
