☝ Game Maker Studio 2 | Epic - Heat distortion shader

This video tutorial shows you how to create a heat distortion shader which create a cool wave effect on the screen in gamemaker studio.

The heat shader is quite easy in principle. You only need to add to the x position of the v_vTextcoord a float number to move it to another position in the fragment shader (pixel shader). This is being then applied to all the pixels on the application surface.
