A DIY Uninterrupted Power Supply (UPS). Part 1. Principle of Operation

This video describes an uninterrupted power supply system with an input from a mains power adapter (mains voltage to 12VDC or 19VDC) and with 12VDC regulated output to power a load of up to 120W (depending on the wattage of the input power adapter). The intention of this UPS is to avoid using an output transformer and related circuitry, and get longer battery supported operation vs traditional systems. The system will be built on commercially available modular components. It is initially intended to power a resin printer, but can be used for any devices with similar power requirements.
