Yakuza 4 Remastered Part 2 - Taiga Saejima Chapter 3 : The 25 Year Vacuum | Walkthrough
A day later, Saejima arrives in Tokyo and starts searching for leads on the whereabouts of his old boss. While searching, he stumbles onto Kido fighting off goons from the Shibata Family who were trying to question him. Upon realizing that Kido is an enemy of Shibata, who was once Sasai's biggest rival, Saejima introduces himself and asks for his help in finding his boss. Kido is amazed to meet Saejima; since he became a legend amongst the Tojo Clan's members after his infamous hit, but says that he can't help him beyond letting him stay at his hideout in the Theatre Underground. He does, however, tell him about the existence of a mysterious information broker living in Kamurocho who could help him, known as the Florist of Sai.
Saejima investigates the Florist and is eventually directed to his base of operations: Purgatory, an underground pleasure district underneath West Park. Saejima meets with the Florist and requests information on Sasai's whereabouts. The Florist agrees to provide it, but only if Saejima wins a deathmatch at his Underground Coliseum. Saejima takes part in the match, fighting against reigning champion Ivan Ibrahimovic and eventually defeating him. However, when he is given a sword to finish off Ibrahimovic, Saejima can't bring himself to kill again. He furiously scolds the audience for enjoying murder for sport and recounts his trauma after having killed so many men, before departing in anger. However, as he leaves the arena, Saejima is approached by the Florist, who reveals that the fight was a test: If Saejima had tried to kill Ibrahimovic, he would have refused to give him the information, but since he didn't, he will provide it to him.
The Florist takes Saejima to his office and informs him that, after the 1985 hit, the Ueno Seiwa ordered Sasai's death, so he had to go into hiding. Sasai eventually wound up homeless after his family was disbanded and started working for the Florist as a spy and informant. However, the loss of his career and all his friends within the Tojo Clan drove Sasai to become a drunk. In time, the hard life on the street combined with his heavy drinking left him catatonic. The Florist has one of his men bring in Sasai so Saejima can seen him, finding that he is indeed unresponsive. Saejima tearfully embraces his former boss and, much to his and the Florist's shock, Sasai briefly regains his faculties and recognizes Saejima. After the Florist assures him that he will continue to look after Sasai, Saejima leaves.
