Lunchbox Lesson #1 - The St. Lawrence Seaway
Описание
Join us for a Lunch-Box Lesson with Ashley Maready of the St. Lawrence County Historical Association.
On Wednesday, April 28th the site welcomed (virtually) St. Lawrence County Historical Association Executive Director, Ashley Maready. Maready presented an overview history of the St. Lawrence Seaway, including its construction, operation, and significance. This engineered waterway from the Great Lakes to the Atlantic changed the way cargo moved from the interior of North America to the global marketplace during the mid-20th century. Through this program, you can discover its impacts on New York and the far-reaching implications of a newer canal channel.
Maready has been a history museum professional for over a decade and holds a BA in history and philosophy from Hood College and an MA in applied history from Shippensburg University.
