Jr Shinkansen 7 day pass on green class. It's really worth it if traveling all over Japan.

We travelled from Sapporo(Hokkaido) to Tokyo,
Tokyo to Osaka, Osaka to Hiroshima , shin-iwakuni to Hiroshima, Hiroshima to Osaka , Osaka to Kyoto , Kyoto to Kanazawa, Kyoto to odawara , odawara to Tokyo all on Shinkansen or limited express on green class. Green class is totally worth it if traveling a lot. Seats are very comfortable and less crowded than ordinary class.
