If you need to increase the size of your Windows or Linux system vmdk disk file, it is very easy to do within the VMware Workstation Manager. The harder part might be getting it configured within the guest operating system after you expand it.

You might run into a problem where you have something such as a recovery partition in the way when trying to expand or extend your new C drive while using the Windows Disk Management tool. This is easy to fix using the free NIUBI Partition Editor.
