The new Opel Grand Sport's appearance has a larger grille, a revised front bumper, and smaller headlamps. A new entry-level diesel engine choice was also added to the lineup, along with increased levels of safety equipment.

The inside of the Insignia is large, with lots of legroom in the rear. This allows passengers to stretch out, and interior quality has been enhanced to provide the impression of space and comfort.

LED headlights, front and rear parking sensors, a touchscreen infotainment system with navigation and traffic sign recognition, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connection, dual-zone temperature control, and cruise control are standard across all trim levels.

The engine lineup has also been simplified, with diesel power making up the majority of the available options: a 120bhp 1.5-liter unit is available with either a six-speed manual or an eight-speed automatic transmission, while a 172bhp 2.0-liter oil-burner is only available with the auto transmission.

The current model range has five specs. The SE Nav is the entry-level model, followed by the sportier SRi Nav and SRi VX-Line Nav, then Ultimate Nav and the top-of-the-line GSi. Prices range from approximately £24,000 to over £41,000.
