Space Invaders - 3,440 points

Ah, Space Invaders, a true classic. I like more modern shmups better, but you can't beat Space Invaders for simplicity and playability.

I know there's some trick involving counting your shots and shooting the red UFO that nets more points, but I can't remember what it is. Getting a higher score than I have will probably require some actual technique, anyway--I don't seem to be able to do much more 'naively'.
