Solve the growing thumbnail/thumbdata file problem in Android

Solution how to solve the growing .thumbnail, .thumbdata file in the DCIM folder on Android. This file grows bigger and bigger and it can reach several GB when you do nothing against it meaning its a HUGE WASTE of memory space ;) If its too big it causes your phone to become instable, laggy and makes it crash.

PLEASE NOTE! If you don´t see any .thumdata or .thumbnail file then you need to first activate the option "Show hidden files". Because everytime there is a .(dot) in front of any folder or file the Android system will NOT make it visible until you enable "Show hidden files" To do that go a) first to the DCIM folder b) click to the bottom button on your phone (next to the back button) c) choose settings and you find "Show hidden files" ;) This can also be useful for this: http://youtu.be/9mgmvByRQhs

This also works on the Xperia Z1 compact! Even a thumbdata file as small as 54 MB caused that issue and made the gallery pics in the widget blurry. Just make sure that you create the same file with the exact same name (after you deleted the thumbdata... files)
