Jemma Lewis talked to TIZA Video about the process of hand marbling paper for our Letterpress Shakespeare series. TIZA Video, a London based Video Production agency, were amazed by the results from process that Jemma undertook to create the unique paper marbling for the Folio Society. We videoed the whole process from start to finish in their workshop for paper marbling. We filmed some of the process using time lapse so we could show the gouache paint being using to create the effect for the paper marbling. Along with videoing an interview with Gemma explaining how she creates the pattern and the process in which she uses.

Jemma works out of a charming garden workshop with her father and prepares beautiful marbled sheets using an ancient method which she explains in the mesmeric video shot recently with our Canon C100 for The Folio Society

In this beautiful process droplets of oil are floated on a special solution and combed into patterns so that each sheet of paper bears a unique design.
