The wireless world kills a thing I used to do. After turning on/restarting Mac computer, I used to hold the option key for a startup disk selection, that's not possible with an Apple wireless keyboard. One article suggests pressing a key after the boot chime. That suggestion made me laugh because I'm not a sprinter waiting for the starting gun, and how much time do I have from the boot chime starts until the system decides to go to the default disk? It's not practical so I won't try it.
