In this video, you can see the use of the crepe jasmine buds.
Crepe Jasmine is commonly known as Pinwheel flower or India rosebay . In Hindi, it's called Chandani or Tagar and in Kannada, 'Nandibattalu'. A single crepe jasmine flower is pinwheel shape, so it gets it name as 'Pinwheel Flower'.
These flowers are unscented and flowers throughout the year. The crepe jasmine bud gives an aestheic look to the gods and goddesses and can be used for special occasions like marriage, pooja, mehandi, sangeet or any other family functions.
Pluck the crepe jasmine buds in the evening. Once you have plucked the buds, it will not bloom and will remain fresh throughout the day.
Unlike other flowers, the flowering plant is easy to grow, cost effective and does not require much care. The flower garlands made from these flower buds remain fresh for many days.
One can propagate the plant by stem cuttings and once the roots have grown, it does not require much water.
