Lev Abeliovich was born in Vilnius, Lithunia 1912 but later lived the first few years of his life in Warsaw, Poland. He was very interested in literature, poem and folk music, having books in belorussian, russian, polish and french. He studied with Myaskovsky during the second world war years. Together with many other european jews, Abeliovich was severely persecuted by the Socialism of the Nazis. He escaped from Poland to Belorussia to prevent being thrown in to a nazi camp, and remained in the latter country until his death in 1985 (he was in moscow from 1944-1951). In the Belorussian conservatory he studied with Zolotaryov, graduating in 1941. There is no copyright infringement intended.
