Recipe:
20 grams/0.7 oz of soap
2 teaspoon water
Optional: 0.5% essential oils or fragrance (for my amount, I added 0.10 gram/ 0.0035 oz which is about 3 drops)

The purpose of adding water is solely to avoid the soap from burning and sticking onto the saucepan. Therefore, you really do not need lots of water: remember, all the water you add in, will need to evaporate out, and if you add too much water the soap will be soft and mushy and never really set. A good rule of thumb is to add about 1 teaspoon of water every 10 grams /0.35 oz of soap.

Tip: if your soap was a bit drying and you want to add some moisture you can add some glycerin or oil (just a couple of drops for every 10 grams /0.35 oz of soap)

Did you know you can also melt shampoo bars scraps into a new bar? However, you should not need to add any water since shampoo made with detergents melts much easier.
