This video documents the restoration and repair of a Seiko 6139-8040 from November 1974. This is a warts-and-all account of a process whose conduct was severely hampered by its documentation. This restoration features a number of commonly-encountered faults that can afflict Seiko 6139 movements, the most conspicuous of which, a broken chronograph wheel discovered very late in the process.
