Embracing diversity, equity, and inclusion in teaching: International faculty experiences

From international faculty’s perspectives, the presenters, members of the International Faculty Learning Community in 2019-2020, will share their experience of embracing diversity, equity, and inclusion in teaching to support student success. They will report on the representation in faculty on the SUNY Brockport campus compared to the national and state demographics. They will discuss and reflect research-based practices, barriers and challenges they have encountered, tips and advice of creating and sustaining an inclusive community. The presenters will also facilitate interactive discussion to engage the participants in exploring ways to encourage and support every member in working collaboratively to contribute to an inclusive and positive campus climate.
