Use Audacity to Adjust Audio Time

Usually if you stretch/lengthen an audio file, it changes to a deep lower pitch. And if you compress/shorten an audio file, it will have a higher pitch (think of the chipmunks cartoon). Audacity has a very wonderful feature that adjusts the pitch as you stretch or compress an audio file's length, so that the result has the same pitch as the original.

This video is specifically shows how to use the Change Tempo effect to adjust the time of an audio file.
