Traditional Chinese Opera.

Chinese Opera is performed as a tribute to spirits and Gods during festivals and ceremonies. It is a dying art form and may one day completely disappear from Singapore. Opera shows like this used to draw crowds back in the 60s and 70s and are often performed in various Chinese dialects (e.g. Hokkien, Hakka, Cantonese). One of the contributing factors that lead to its demise can be attributed to the government's push against Dialects in the past.
