Creating an Ilok account and Installing Ilok Manager

Before you can use Pro Tools you need an Ilok account. Ilok is software that maintains authorizations for Avid and other companies. It works through either proprietary dongles (which has to be plugged in to use) or newer Ilok Cloud (you have to be on the internet to use, I'll show the process in another video). If ProTools has "PACE" problems it relates to this.

Ilok License Manager can be downloaded below. Avid will install it with ProTools if it is not already on your computer but it won't be the latest version which can be a problem.
