⌘ Message Queue (MQ) is a form of Asynchronous Service-to-Service communication used in Serverless and Microservices Architectures. Messages are stored in a Queue (works by a FIFO - First In First Out mechanism) until they are processed and deleted.

⌘ IBM MQ is one of many popular MQ such as IBM MQ, ActiveMQ, RabbitMQ, Apache Kafka, etc. IBM MQ was originally called MQSeries, and was renamed WebSphere MQ in 2002 to join the suite of WebSphere products. In April 2014, it was renamed IBM MQ.
