There are no gear reductions to simplify the assembly process. hence runtime is only 4 to 6 minutes depending on the rate of escapement oscillation with a direct drive from the mainspring.

I thought that it is quite a fun little wind-up desktop toy/sculpture that will not take up a significant amount of desk space (as compared to the clocks).
