The Hyundai Veloster looks like nothing else on the market, with an aggressive silhouette and distinctive 3-door layout. Redesigned for 2019, the Veloster is still available with either a naturally aspirated or turbo engine, and a range of manual, automatic, and dual-clutch transmissions, but it now sits on a new architecture that transforms it into an utterly engaging machine.

Shoppers will undoubtedly have mixed feelings about the Veloster’s 3-door design. But despite its unconventional styling, the 3rd door certainly makes entry and exit easier and safer than a 2-door coupe, as the third door sits on the passenger’s side of the car—no more climbing out into traffic.

Shoppers looking to get into a Veloster for the least money possible will settle for the 147-horsepower, 2.0-liter engine. If you want a turbo, the 1.6-liter turbo-4 will provide 201 horses.

Inside, the Veloster is less aggressively styled than past models. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto come standard, Hyundai offers an optional Infinity premium audio system, and a suite of safety features.
