PLEASE CONSIDER SUBSCRIBING IF YOU FIND THE VIDEO HELPFUL, THANK YOU.....................Video showing the replacement of the PCV valve ( positive crankcase ventilation valve ) on a 1997 Toyota Corolla AE102. The part number on the original valve was 7CA 15050. The original valve and grommet had stuck together, probably due to 20 years of heat, and broke when trying to remove them. I would suggest buying a new grommet if your valve has been fitted for a long time, and has become hard. You do not have to remove the tappet/rocker cover, even if broken bits drop through the hole, we did it just to have a look inside. There is a compartment inside that should stop any rubbish getting into contact with the engine, but you could tape a length of plastic tube to a vacuum and use that to remove it.
