It doesn't seem like much time has passed, but this place used to be full of rice fields. TV news also said that the construction of a subway station here is costing a lot of maintenance and consuming taxpayers' money. That station was Magok Station.

But there's a lot of progress around here right now. There are new apartments, university hospitals, huge botanical gardens and hotels, large research institutes, numerous officetel buildings, and fancy food alleys. How long has it been? I don't think it's been just a few years.
