How to Turn Off Find My iPhone

You need to turn off find my iPhone if you are selling your device (iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch), if you are resetting or restoring your iPhone or iPad or if you are sending it for repair.

In this video, I'll show you how to disable find my iPhone for iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch.

The option used to be under the iCloud menu, but in iOS 13, the option was moved under Find My menu.

You do need to know your iCloud username and password in order to turn off find my iPhone.

If you change your mind, you can always turn on find my iPhone on the same menu.
