Autumn Leaves - Chord Progressions

So many people play this tune without gaining the skills that it's offering. Autumn leaves contains two crucial and simple chord progressions that you will commonly see in jazz standards. Therefore, it's worth understanding them and using the tune to practice them rather than thinking it's okay that you can play the tune without knowing anything about the language. Otherwise, you'll end up with a few tunes you can kind of get through and no chance of any improvisation. My work with students is the opposite of that.

Note: I would normally use Am6 rather than Am7 on this tune.
