It's that time of the year again, back to school 2021! Pretty soon, students will be joining school band and orchestra programs and will be picking which instrument to play for the very first time. This video is for students who are curious about which instrument they should play, and for beginning band teachers to show to their students. Instrument demonstrations are a popular way for band teachers to showcase the different instruments to future music students. The demos can be done live or by showing videos. In some cases, the prospective students even get to try out all of the instruments!

My video is all about the TROMBONE!!! The trombone is a part of the brass family and is the only school band instrument with a slide. You make a sound on the trombone by buzzing into the mouthpiece and can make cool sounds on the slide by playing glissandos (or glisses). You can play many different musical styles on the trombone and can be in many different types of musical ensembles including: concert bands, jazz bands, marching bands, orchestras, operas, musical theatre shows, top 40 bands, cover bands, rock bands, latin bands, brass quintets, trombone choirs and more!

The trombone is a very versatile instrument. Not to mention, SUPER FUN! I think it's the best one (Of course, I am biased)! At the end of this instrument demonstration video I show fun songs that you can play on the trombone.
