http://grafcanada.com/ The GRAF G9035 hockey skates from Graf Canada are amazing! They also make the GRAF G9035 goalie skate. If you want to check them out head over to Total Hockey.
This is the G9035 hockey skate from Graf. Much of the R&D for this hockey skate was done by researchers at Brock University in Ontario.
Graf asked the researchers to determine the cause of both lace bite and also the heel spurs that hockey players get on the back of their feet. These bumps are an epidemic among hockey players. They aren't normal or healthy. The bumps are caused by movement of your foot inside your hockey skates. The movement creates friction, which causes a blister and then eventually a heel spur. In addition to the bumps, when your foot moves inside the skate, you aren't skating as well as you could be because you have energy loss.
Players spend countless hours doing on-ice and dry land training and then they wear hockey skates that don't allow them to maximize their efforts. The liner in the Graf G9035 has a deep heel pocket and a channel for your Achilles tendon. These features promote heel lock, helping to keep your foot from moving up and down inside the skate.
One of the main reasons players get lace bite is because hockey skates are too stiff. So the new Graf G9035 uses a quarter panel made from carbon fiber and surlyn. Graf can change the recipe of these materials to adjust the stiffness of the skates.
Bigger, heavier players need a stiffer skate. Smaller, lighter players will benefit from a skates that is a little less stiff. It's the same logic that applies to hockey sticks.
The G9035 skate is also asymmetrical. You'll notice that Graf extended the eyelets on the inside of the boot. They did this because the ankle bone on the inside of your foot is higher and more forward than the bone on the outside of your foot. Sometimes, a player's inside ankle bone can rub against the eyelets. Graf tried to alleviate this problem.
The G9035 also offers Graf's 5000 holder. The 5000 holder is the lightest holder on the market. And Graf steel is taller, which lengthens the life of the blade. Also, the 5000 holder is made from a material that is non-porous, so it won't absorb moisture like other holders. When a holder absorbs moisture, it gains weight. And it also becomes softer and loses torsional strength. Graf's 5000 holder won't do that.
The Graf G9035 also features a footbed that is better than most after-market models. It's made specifically for hockey skates and has a metatarsal arch support and a heel loop to promote proper foot positioning during the skating stride.
The G9035 offers and composite outsole and a heat moldable tongue for comfort and fit.Graf also offers this liner technology in a goalie skate. The G9035 goal skate has the same liner as the player skate. The G9035 goalie skate has Graf's newest cowling too.
It's lower profile and lighter than previous models. Also, Graf is the #1 goalie skate in the NHL. Forty percent of NHL goalies use Graf.
Hockey players have many options today -- Bauer, RBK, CCM, Easton -- but only Graf offers these new technologies. For more information visit totalhockey.com or grafcanada.com. Thanks for watching.
